Grant-in-aid courses: 

1).Automobile Engineering,

2).Electrical & Electronics Engineering

3).Electronics & Communication Engineering


Non-grant courses: 

1).Mechanical Engineering,

2).Civil Engineering,

3).Computer Science & Engineering,

4).Mechatronics Engineering.

 

Applications for admissions to non-grant diploma courses are available in the Polytechnic office. Candidates are required to pay Rs.300 towards application fees in the office or request for an application by sending a DD for Rs.350 along with a self-addressed envelope. Applications can also be downloaded from the following link of our Polytechnic website http://www.snmpolytechnic.org/downloads.php?dep_d=6 and the filled in application may be forwarded to: The Principal, S N M Polytechnic, Kodangallu Post, Moodbidri, D.K. Dist., PIN: 574197, Karnataka along with a DD for Rs.350. payable to “The principal, S N M Polytechnic, Moodbidri”. Applications without requisite attachments will not be considered.

 

The admissions for grant-in-aid courses are done through non-interactive online counselling throughout Karnataka and the applications and brochure can be downloaded from anyone of the following sites:http://dte.kar.nic.in/  The downloaded applications after filling up can be submitted for option entry to any of the nearest Government or Aided Polytechnic in Karnataka (the list is available in the brochure). The admissions are available only for candidates of Karnataka/or to the wards of parents having domicile of Karnataka.

 

 Eligibility for admissions:

·         Pass in 10th examination or equivalent of any other board.

·         Candidates belonging to CBSE/ICSE/or any other boards other than KSEE board of Karnataka must obtain eligibility certificate from the Secretary, Dept. of Technical Education (DTE), Bangaluru. For more information contact 08258 236663/239663.

·         25% seats are reserved for SC/ST in all courses.

·         Candidates applying for Automobile Engg. must have completed 16 years as on 1st July.

·         Candidates seeking admissions to grant-in-aid courses must have studied for minimum five years in Karnataka.

          

 

Documents required for admission:


Grant-in-aid Courses: (Automobile, E&C and E&E Engg.)

·         SSLC/Equivalent marks card and attested copies

·         Transfer certificate or NOC from the institution last studied.

·         Five years study certificate from the school/s counter signed by Block Education Officer (BEO).

·       Candidates seeking rural quota must have rural study certificate for ten years counter signed by BEO.

·       Candidates seeking Kannada medium quota must have study certificate for ten years stating the medium of instruction was in Kannada (counter signed by BEO).

·         To claim SC/ST/C1 quota candidates must have caste certificate issued by concerned authority with validity upto 1st July.

·         Candidates claiming OBC category seats must have valid caste certificates issued by the concerned authority.

·       Candidates claiming fee concession from the Government of Karnataka must have valid income certificates issued by concerned authority. If both parents are alive the income certificate must be in the name of father. If father is not alive mother’s income certificate along with father’s death certificate must be submitted.

·         Physical fitness certificate issued by any medical practitioner with seal must be produced.

·         Seven photographs (four passport size+3stanp size)

      (All original certificates along with one each additional photocopy attested by Gazetted officer)

 

For non-grant courses: (Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science & Mechatronics Engg.)

 

·         SSLC/Equivalent marks card and attested copies

For Candidates from other states: (Mechanical, Civil, Computer Science & Mechatronics Engg.)

 

·         Original 10th standard marks card and attested copies.

·         Eligibility certificate issued by Secretary, DTE, Govt. of Karnataka. For details call 08258 236663/ 239663.

·         Transfer certificate or NOC from the institution last studied.

·         Migration certificate.

·         Physical fitness certificate issued by any medical practitioner with seal must be produced.

·         Seven photographs (four passport size+3stanp size)
