ADDITIONAL FACILITIES

2. In order to enhance the language and communication skills, a Language laboratory has been set up in the polytechnic.Students interested in the development of their language may utilize this facility
3. Special coaching is being arranged for needy and academically weak students
4. Wall Magazine and College Annual Magazine.
5. Driving classes are conduced to the students as per the curriculum.
6. Computer lab facilities with internet are available to all the students of polytechnic.
7. Department clubs are organized to improve the soft skills of students.
8. Industrial tours are organised to the final year students as per the curriculum.
9. Materials such as calculators are arranged conditionally for economically poor students.
10. Free Mid-day meals facility will be extended to the deserving students subject to availability of funds.
11. Since the technical education emphasizes on the skill and competencies of pass outs, the students are advised to undergo industrial training during the vacations after the semester exams right from 1st semester. Assistance and support will be provided by the polytechnic authorities for such activities. Students may undergo short training and prepare a report of the same. outstanding activities, involvement in the industrial training will be recognized during annual day celebrations
12. Students willing to continue in NCC can join the NCC unit of Sri Mahaveera College in the campus.

14. E-club, Electrical club SPARK,, Computer organisation and Mechanical associations, MTX club, Civil club,Automobile club are formed to nurture the technical talents of students.
Awards and proficiency prizes
1. The polytechnic offers the proficiency prizes to the best students in studies, in each class every year. The proficiency prize is awarded to the highest scorer in each class.
2. Sri Venkatesh Prabhu ,HOD of Maths and Science section offers cash prize of Rs. 1000/- to students scoring highest marks in Maths in I & II semester examinations.
3. Late S. D. Samrajya, 75th Birthday Felicitation Endowment Scholarship will be awarded to best student of final year.
4. Late Amaranath Jain memorial cash prize will be awarded to best student studying in final year in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engg.
5. Sri P.V. Bhat, Ex- Principal sponsored cash prize will be awarded to best student studying in final year in the Department of Computer Science & Engg.
6. Sri K.M. Bhat, Rtdr . Lecturer E&E Section, sponsored cash prize will be awarded to best student studying in final year in the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engg.
7. Sri Mohammad Sharif, Ex- Lecturer Mechanical section sponsored cash prize will be awarded to the best student studying in final year in the Department of Mechanical Engg.
8. Sri Sudarshan M. sponsored cash prize in memory of Late Sunil Kumar (Ex. H.O.D., Computer Science) will be awarded to the best student studying in final year in the Department ofComputer Science & Engineering.
9. Sri Shirthady Sampath Samrajya & Shirthady Sushanth Samrajya sponsored cash prize of Rs. 2,500/- in memory of their father late Sri S D Samrajya will be awarded to the Best outgoing student of S N M Polytechnic every year who exhibits all round performance in academic and extra curricular activities.
10. A cash prize of Rs. 1000/- donated by Mr. Suresh D.B. Lecturer in Automobile Engg. will be awarded to the First year Automobile students for securing highest marks in his subject ,Automotive Engines, in the semester exams .
11. A cash prize of Rs. 1000/- each is sponsored by Smt. Sowmya M.J., Librarian will be awarded to the meritorious students of I year Diploma in Electronics&Communication, Electrical&Electronics, Automobile Engg. branches.

College Examinations
1. Three Internal Assessment (I.A.) examinations are conducted compulsorily every semester as per the schedule mentioned in the calendar. The dates of tests will remain unchanged unless under unforeseen circumstances. The students are required to prepare well in advance for these exams to achieve academic excellence.
2. The students should produce the Identity Card during examinations.
